Koželuhová, Vendula ; Penka, Miroslav (referee) ; Kopřiva, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis compares two different systems of taxation of income of physical persons. There is analyzed the situation in the Czech Republic which is compared with the situation in Austria. Results of this comparing are reviewed and sequentially the differences and the benefits and disadvantages are set up.
QoS in UMTS
Kavan, Radovan ; Hanus, Stanislav (referee) ; Kejík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis treats of QoS (Quality of Service) in UMTS system. The term quality of service is frequently used, recently, however not only in computer networks, but also more and more in mobile networks also. Present system of 2nd generation (2G) GSM enables only limited exploitation of QoS function. System UMTS is a system of 3rd generation (3G) already and contains quality of service in greater measure which is ensured with number of algorithms and functions. Individual QoS functions enable effective utilization of radio interface, support maintenance of planned coverage and offer high spectral efficiency. Functions that cater to quality of service are called RRM functions (Radio Resource Management). There exist five basic functions in UMTS system that are Admission control (AC), Power control (PC), Load control (LC), Handover control (HC) and Packet scheduler (PS). These functions are responsible for control of network access, control of power, control of network load, control of handover and packet (bit rate) scheduling. Last three functions are usually collectively designated as Congestion control, control of network overload. UMTS layer model, differentiation of services, traffic classes and 3GPP concept are also discussed. In thesis the attention is piad to Admission control algorithm – control of network access – in the uplink direction and to different ways of load (in the cell) modeling. Individual approaches are simulated in MATLAB. A possibility of using algorithm in the real system is discussed in conclusion.

Comparison Czech Accounting System and Accounting System in Federal Republic of Germany
Balíčková, Alžběta ; Matěja, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beranová, Michaela (advisor)
This bachelor thesis defines the comparison of national accounting systems in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. There are the major differences in the financial systems of both countries especially in the area of accounting, reporting and valuation. Accounting systems are defined mainly on the basis of the legal rules of both states. The differences found are discussed and justified.
The Population Protection against Floods in the Town of Ústí nad Orlicí
Ruhásová, Aranka ; Hradil, Jaroslav (referee) ; Nykodým, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of population protection against floods. In the thesis are explained the basic terms of this topic, the equipment used in protection against flooding, flood authorities and law both in the CR and the EU. Work includes further description of the programs on flood modeling and risk analysis. Another part is devoted to the assessment of preparedness of the CR and the EU, evaluation of the previous flood of 1997, 2002 and 2006. In the last chapter all of information obtained are applied on the place of interest and assessed the readiness and the ability to improve the situation in flood protection.
Assessment of soils using pollution indices
Satola, Ondřej ; Pavlovský, Jiří (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
Subject of this diploma thesis is analysis of selected heavy metals in soils which are exposed to long-time cause of contaminants from metallurgical industry in localities Třinec and Ostrava. For assessment of the contamination, indexes for evaluation of soils were chosen. Those indexes are focusing mainly on rate of enrichment of the soils by selected heavy metals and resulting ecological and possibly health risk for human organism. Within every location, 26 samples were extracted, while every sample extract location, were selected to map the level of pollution around metallurgical plants in the most complex way. The analysis of the samples was done by techniques F-AAS and AMA 254 and established metals were mercury, lead, copper, chrome, nickel, manganese and zinc.
The heavy metal contamination of selected sites in Ostrava
Mihočová, Silvie ; Pavlovský, Jiří (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the assessment of contamination of non-agricultural soils of selected locations in Ostrava of hazardous metals. Selection of locations was based on the stationary pollution source REZZO1. Total 36 collected samples from 12 locations in three times periods between July 2010 and March 2011 that each collection represented a different time period for characteristic emissions conditions. The risk of metals mercury, cadmium, lead, copper and chromium were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry (F AAS, ET AAS, AMA 254).The influence of the distance of locations from stationary sources of REZZO1 on the extent of soil contamination by selected metals was confirmed.

Fighting disinformation in the Czech Republic and Germany.
Čevela, Tomáš ; Handl, Vladimír (advisor) ; Lizcová, Zuzana (referee)
The presented work deals with the struggle of the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany with disinformation. It arises against the background of a conventional war conflict, the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. At the same time, the Russian Federation is using the information space to expand its influence in Europe as part of the hybrid war. The work compares the means and procedure of both states in combating disinformation, specifically compares the legislative framework of both states, their institutions and their international cooperation. The work came to the conclusion that in many aspects the Czech Republic lags behind Germany. Although both states have a similar approach in establishing or empowering state institutions to combat disinformation and in international cooperation. However, unlike Germany, the Czech Republic does not yet have effective legislation to combat disinformation and does not invest funds in civic education and research projects.
